Ex libris stamp to mark the books of the studio’s library, inspired by the precursor of the ex libris bookplate: the book curse or rhyme, an ancient and medieval custom of casting curses, which were intended to discourage the theft of books, manuscripts and scrolls, in a time before movable type and printing, when these items were extremely expensive, valuable and rare.
